The All Nations Veterans Council is proud to announce its annual Teaching Our Traditions Pow Wow, being held the weekend of May 18th & 19th at Brighton Recreation Area in Brighton, Michigan. The Pow-Wow is open to the general public and promises to be a fun and educational family friendly event!
The 2011 Teaching our Traditions Pow-Wow this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19 at the Brighton State Recreation Area in Livingston County .
The Pow-Wow will be held from 10 a.m. to dusk Saturday, ‘ and 10 am to 5pm on Sunday, with Native American dancing, music, crafts, and dress ceremonies!
Don’t miss the ‘Grand Entry’ at 1pm and 6pm on Saturday – and again at noon on Sunday. There will be a variety of Native American events, along with authentic. Native American food vendors on-site.
Admission to attend the Pow-Wow:
$5 for adults 12 Years & Up
$3 Seniors & Children
Free for Children Under 5.
All events will be held at the Three Fires group campground, which is located inside the park. Participants are reminded that this is an outdoor event, so bring lawn chairs or blankets for a long day of “GO-Get Outdoors“ fun!
